About Us

Your Child Is in Great Hands

Philosophy

Here we believe that children
deserve the opportunity to learn and grow in a
safe, and enriching environment. Learning happens through positive relationshionships, exploration, experiences, and sense of belonging that enable children to become productive contributors to the world in
which they live. Children are agents of their own
learning, actively building knowledge, skills,
dispositions, and feelings. All aspects of their
development and learning are interrelated and

interdependent.

Health & Safety

Zehra’s Daycare/Preschool is licensed and complies with all applicable licensing regulations and standards such as first aid, and CPR. These standards relate to our home, staff, health, safety procedures, nutrition, caregiver to child ratios, and record keeping. We believe that these standards are in the best interest of the children. Our home is subject to inspection by state and city health, fire, and licensing officials.

COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY

REQUIREMENTS

We will be taking extra precautions to protect our staff, children, and their families from the spread of Covid-19.

  • Parents drop off and pick up: Hand hygiene is set up at the entrance, so that the children clean their hands before they enter the facility.

  • We place sign-in station outside, and provide sanitary wipes for cleaning pens between each use.

  • We will greeting children outside as they arrive. Ideally, the same parent or designated person should drop off and pick up the child everyday. If possible older people such as grandparents or those with serious medical condition should not pick up children because they are more at risk for severe illness from Covid-19.

  • Person who have a fever of 100.4 (38.0 c) or above or other signs of illness should not be admitted to the facility. Parents should be alert for the signs of illness in their children and to keep them home when they are sick or have been in contact with someone who has tested Positive for Coronavirus, or if someone in the household has symptoms such as cough, fever or shortness of breath. We encourage parents and guardians to take their child's temperature everyday before coming to Daycare and to keep their children at home if their temperature is over 100.4 F

  • We will perform temperature check upon arrival of a child using non-contact thermometer

  • The importance of frequent hand washing with soap and water (or use of hand sanitizer where soap are not available) including:

  • When employees arrive at the facility and before they leave the facility

  • Before and after handling food, feeding a child or eating

  • Before and after using toilet, changing a diaper, or helping a child use the bathroom (also wash the child's hands after helping the child use bathroom or changing their diaper.

  • After helping a child wipe their nose, mouth or tending to a cut or sore.

  • After the children play outside

  • Before and after giving medicine to a child

  • After handling waste basket or garbage

CLEANLINESS: We routinely clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects (e.g door knobs, light switches, bathroom sink handles, countertops and shared toys)

SOCIAL DISTANCING: We maintain social distancing as much as possible. We keep each group of children in a separate room, playground times, and for special activities such as Art, Music, and Exercising. At nap time we ensure that children mat or crib are spread out as much as possible ideally 6 feet apart.
